After josh graduated from Antioch College in Ohio, he moved to Chicago to become a photographer. While his communications degree taught him to write, he chose to tell stories with images. Out of necessity, he learned Photoshop in the late 90s when it was barely a household name. The new challenge lead him to discover magic he hadn’t experienced since the darkroom. After years of shooting commercially, he followed his aptitude for retouching and has been focusing on that since 2004. In 2005 he moved to Seattle and enjoys cascade views when he’s not sequestered in a color-safe room. Somewhere along the way, he rekindled his love of written storytelling.
